CBS News: Community Advocates for Critical Funding

LAE is at risk of having our MOHCD-funded housing justice grant cut by 60% this coming fiscal year and eliminated entirely the following fiscal year. We know this is not just affecting us. The city is also scheduled to cut $4.5 million from senior programs, which will impact many of our sister organizations. We believe, the budget should not be balanced on the backs of seniors and adults with disabilities.

This week a group of several hundred people advocating for senior rights delivered more than 1000 postcards to the mayor calling for the restoration of funding for senior programs. Read more or watch the news segment.
