Thomas E. Drohan

Mr. Drohan is a graduate of the Boston University School of Law and has been a member of the California State Bar since 1992. He has worked as the housing attorney at Legal Assistance to the Elderly in San Francisco for over twenty six years and is currently Director of Litigation. Mr. Drohan specializes in defending seniors who are facing eviction from their homes. He has represented hundreds of tenants in unlawful detainer actions, including numerous jury trials, bench trials and appellate panel arguments. He has represented tenants in various types of petitions at the San Francisco Rent Board and sat as a settlement judge at San Francisco Superior Court on unlawful detainer cases for over ten years. He has participated as a member of the planning committee of the San Francisco Mental Health Association=s annual conference on hoarding and cluttering and is a frequent presenter at conferences and trainings given by SFMHA, PLI and the San Francisco Bar Association. Mr. Drohan also served as a consulting litigation attorney at San Francisco’s Eviction Defense Collaborative, mentoring new attorneys and advising on full scope cases.
