Fares Alharazy is a client advocate working to support clients navigate a complex legal and social services system, ensuring access to services and resources. Although born in Berkeley, Fares spent most of his childhood in Sana’a, Yemen. He came back to the Bay Area in 2009 and has been here since. He’s lived in Berkeley, Oakland, and now resides in San Francisco. Fares earned his B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley in 2019. His research interests ranged from housing policy to historical study of international relations and geopolitics.
Previously, Fares worked with Centro Legal De La Raza in their Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) helping low-income tenants with rental assistance, to protect their housing and ensure they’re in a safe and secure environment. His passion is to work with various vulnerable populations including those experiencing homelessness, substance abuse disorder, mental disorders, and additionally working with prisoners and formerly incarcerated.
