Cathy has spent most of her lengthy legal career representing San Francisco tenants, first with the Tenderloin Housing Clinic managing their city-wide eviction defense clinic, then in private practice, and now with LAE.

Over the years, she has taught numerous classes on landlord-tenant law and written eviction defense manuals for non-profit legal services providers. She has served as a San Francisco Rent Board Commissioner since 2003 and volunteers as a Homeless Shelter Arbitrator for the San Francisco Department of Human Services.
