Judy L. Hitchcock
Judy Hitchcock has led LAE’s efforts to prevent financial and physical elder abuse for nearly 30 years. She represents clients seeking domestic violence and elder abuse restraining orders, in financial abuse cases involving the title to a client’s home, challenges to the misuses of powers of attorney, and in issues related to predatory lending and consumer matters. She also represents conservatees in probate conservatorship cases. As a recognized expert in the area of Elder Abuse Prevention, she drafted state legislation that provides for the issuance of civil restraining orders to abused elders and dependent adults. She is also the author of a chapter in Continuing Education of the Bar’s California Elder Law Litigation: An Advocate’s Guide.
