Marwa Ibraheem is LAE’s Director of Development. Marwa holds a Master’s degree and a PhD in Paleobotany. Originally from Egypt, Marwa brings over 15+ years of academic research and fundraising experience and 7 years of innovative nonprofit development expertise. Before joining the LAE’s family, Marwa served in various development roles at prominent local and national nonprofits that support social justice, education equity and STEM education, and most recently climate change & clean energy, where she honed her skills in strategic planning, donor cultivation, prospect research, stewardship, and grant management.
At LAE, Marwa is leading the Fund Development Program and designing and implementing LAE’s strategic fundraising short- and long-term plans. Marwa’s expertise in securing foundation support, coordinating fundraising efforts, and running donor campaigns will be instrumental in expanding LAE’s donor base and ensuring the organization’s growth and sustainability.
Outside of her professional work, Marwa loves painting, cooking Egyptian food, baking, and hiking with her beloved dog; Nala. Marwa is dedicated to social justice, has deep understanding of the challenges faced by the elderly community, and is committed to making a meaningful impact through her work at LAE
