Kaitlyn has dedicated her career to advocating for the rights of people with mental health disabilities. Before joining LAE, Kaitlyn was at the AIDS Legal Referral Panel (ALRP) fighting to preserve the housing rights of some of the most vulnerable San Franciscans. She has also worked at public defender offices in California, Illinois, and Iowa.
Kaitlyn earned her J.D. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2015 and a double bachelor’s degree in Peace Studies and Political Science at DePaul University in Chicago in 2012.
