Abel Mouton

Abel Mouton is a Staff Attorney in Legal Assistance to the Elderly’s Housing Preservation Unit. Abel graduated from UC Hastings College of the Law in May, 2021. Abel is a 2015 graduate of UC Berkeley, with BAs in English and Geography, and a BS in Environmental Science.

Abel has lived in San Francisco since 1994, usually in a rent-controlled unit with at least one housemate. He has worked as a comic book colorist, a server, and an office assistant for a tree-trimming company while pursuing his interests in music, literature, and activism. He has been displaced twice to make room for tenants who were able to pay more rent than him.
