Monica Castillo

Monica Castillo is a staff attorney at LAE. Her practice focuses on financial elder abuse.

Ms. Castillo obtained her J.D. from UC Hastings College of the Law in 1989 and her B.A. in Spanish from UC Berkeley, with a minor in Biology. Ms. Castillo is a member of Sigma Delta Pi, the National Collegiate Hispanic Honor Society. Ms. Castillo is currently the Immediate Past President of the San Mateo County Bar Association, has served on its Board for eight years, and has chaired many of its committees. She is also a Pro Tem judge for the San Mateo County Superior Court, hearing matters on the Small Claims, Traffic Trial and Traffic Arraignment calendars.

One of Ms. Castillo’s passions is traveling and learning about cultures, languages and foods. She enjoys spending time hiking and exploring the San Francisco Bay Area with her daughters.
